Fr. Thomas J. Loya, STB., MA

Fr. Thomas J Loya, is currently the pastor of Annunciation of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Parish in Homer Glen, IL.  He is also the host of "Light of the East" and "A Body of Truth" radio programs and speaks about Theology of the Body each week as a regular guest on Relevant Radio's Morning Air Program.  Before entering the seminary Fr. Loya earned a degree from the Cleveland Institute of Art and pursued a career in commercial art and design.  He later completed his studies for the priesthood in both Pennsylvannia and Rome where he attended the North American College earning an STB from the Angelicum University.  During his time in Rome, Fr. Loya was first exposed to Pope John Paul II's monumental teaching on the human person when he attended his weekly audiences about The Theology of the Body.

Fr. Loya was ordained in 1982 and later added to his Bachelor of Fine Arts by earning a Masters in Counseling and Human Services in 1993.  Fr. Loya has served the Church in youth and young adult ministry as well as an artist and design consultant.  He has directed many retreats and has been a guest speaker at several conventions including World Youth Day 2002.  Using his backround in art, counseling, and Eastern Catholic spirituality, Fr. Loya brings the principles of The Theology of the Body deep into the lived experience of every aspect of human sexuality.

Catherine Baranko

Catherine is currently the president of Tabor Life Institute, a small non-profit organization dedicated to transforming lives through The Theology of the Body as well as the ByzanTEEN Youth Coordinator for Annunciation Byzantine Catholic Church in Homer Glen, IL.  Shortly after obtaining her bachelor's degree in Business Management form Indiana University she heard a homily about the Trinity as explained through the Theology of the Body.  This transforming message profoundly affected her and made clear her life's vocation.  Catherine has since dedicated her life to promoting the message of Theology of the Body to youth and young adults.

Patrick Reidy

After receiving his Masters in Spanish Literature from Indiana University, Pat served for one year on the road with NET Ministries giving High School Retreats around the country.  He then served as a NET Supervisor for two years, before entering St. John Vianney Seminary in Denver, CO.  During his 5 years as a seminarian he received his Bachelor of Philosophy from St. John Lateran University in route to partially completing two Theology degrees.  His introduction to the Theology of the Body came in 1999 in Denver through the tutelage of Christopher West.  Pat currently teaches Spanish and Moral Theology at Northridge Preparatory School in Niles, IL.

Anastasia Northrop

Anastasia is president of the Theology of the Body International Alliance.  For the last seven years she has worked full time with Our Father's Will Communications, a Catholic media ministry, in promoting John Paul II's understanding of the human person worldwide.  She is a speaker and writer on the theology of the body and related topics and is the author of the study guide for the text of the Theology of the Body entitled The Freedom of the Gift.  As the president of the Theology of the Body International Alliance she organizes both the National Forum on the Theology of the Body and the National Catholic Singles Conference.

Andrea & Simon Jordan

Andrea has been the youth director at St. Isidore Parish for four years.  Simon is an active adult leader in her youth ministry program.  Andrea has a Theology Degree from the Franciscan University of Steubenville.  Andrea and Simon met through a Theology of the Body study group and were recently married on April 14, 2007. 


Sarah Reznicek

The poised, unflappable Sarah Reznicek has been courageously addressing large crowds of her teenage peers for the Tabor Life Institute since she was 14 years old.  A native of Lombard, IL. Sarah currently attends Montini High School in Lombard, IL.  Sarah's specialty is helping her peers to understand what being "honest to the language of their bodies" really means in terms of their music, dress, self image and relationships.  Sarah is the oldest of five children, sings in the school choir and works hard at her studies.
